We look back on this year with fond memories and a sense of anticipation for the summer and year to come! We hope you have been able to attend some of the wonderful programs, field trips, and activities that have occurred this year and those that are still to come in our final packed days!
Please note the change in our bell schedule for 2009-2010! Monday, 8:35-12:45 Tuesday-Friday, 8:35-3:15 Students may arrive beginning at 8:10. It is with a sense of loss, but joy for what is to come, that we wish Mr. Cullen a wonderful retirement and express our gratitude for the talented educator he has been for our students. He will be missed! We congratulate Mrs. Pauca and Mrs.Saitta on their precious additions to their family. Our teachers epitomize the dedication to learning that is Lees Corner, providing an academically challenging and fun environment for our students, and teamwork with each other and our community that is valued and makes ours a wonderful school. It has been a true privilege and a lot of fun to work with Gary Stumpf, and also each of our exceptional PTA Board, Committees, and Volunteers. Together we have accomplished much for our students. You each have our sincere appreciation! I congratulate Jodi Fraize as our new PTA President and look forward to working with her. The only gift is a portion of thyself. Our final days are filled with wonderful examples of how our students have gained a love of learning and demonstrated what they have accomplished. We know we have worked very hard to learn many things and be successful with far more than the SOL, VGLA, VAAP, DRA, PALS, and WIDDA assessments! During all this we have kept the fun in learning with many wonderful experiences and activities! On behalf of our entire faculty, I would like to wish this year’s sixth grade class, and their parents, the very best as they go on to middle school. The highest compliment that can be bestowed is that we will truly miss each one of them! Come back and see us, we enjoy hearing the successes of our students! To everyone, have a safe and enjoyable summer. You are the very best a principal could wish for!
